ENTRY-LEVEL ELECTRICAL TRAINEE

Johnson Electric Company has an immediate opening for an entry level trainee electrician. As a trainee you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed journeyman electrician on residential electrical work.
Hours accrued will count towards the required 4,000 hours needed to test for your 02 Journeyman license. We will provide onsite training and supervision, and cover costs for required trainee courses. There will be a 6 month, or 1,000 hour probation period leading to a performance review. Performance will be reviewed every 1,000 hours thereafter leading towards journeyman status, with appropriate wage increases as skill level and independence improve. Highly qualified candidates may become eligible for admittance into a state certified 01 apprenticeship program.

Applicants must be comfortable crawling in confined spaces, working from heights, scaffolding, rooftops, ladders etc., digging and manual labor. Some work may be done while exposed to the elements, some in clean, dry, or fragile environments.
Typical Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (with a half-hour lunch break)
Compensation:
Entry level wage. Performance will be reviewed every 1,000 hours thereafter leading towards journeyman status, with appropriate wage increases as skill level and independence improve.
